Flavia Ormond specialized in the Italian Renaissance at the Courtauld Institute of Art after which she joined the Victoria and Albert Museum as a Research Assistant. This was followed by fifteen years residency in Rome, where after an initial period of free-lance lecturing, she ran the Italian Art History Department of Temple University, Philadelphia, in Rome.
Flavia Ormond launched her own company, Flavia Ormond Fine Arts Limited, in November, 1990, in order to deal in Old Master Drawings. The original objective of the company was to specialise in Italian Drawings but in recent years a decision was made to broaden the company's horizons, and to include drawings through the twentieth century from other European countries and from America.
The company has exhibited annually in New York at Adelson Galleries for which a fully illustrated catalogue is produced. |

The company has sold drawings to private collectors and to major museums, among which are The Metropolitan Museum, The Pierpont Morgan Library, The National Gallery of Canada, and The National Gallery, Washington D.C. Flavia Ormond Fine Arts is a member of the Society of London Art Dealers.
